This is our Slow Cooker Chickpea Curry, delicious and full of flavour. It is also Vegan and Vegetarian friendly, but this is a perfect dish for all occasions, it can be combined with a nice Chicken Korma of Beef Madras for a full-on Indian Night.

We used 2 chillis in the recipe and it wasn’t spicy, so if you like your curry with a bit of a kick, you can add a teaspoon of chilli powder or cayenne pepper.

I’ve tried this today and the taste is great, but after 8 hours on low the chickpeas are still cooking. My advice either soak overnight or be ready to cook on low for 10 to 12 hours at least…

Rob Dunn says:

I love your recipes and think they are amazing (and so does my children!). The only problem I have is that I have a big family and need to cook more. I have bought a 6.5L slow cooker and was wondering if I can just double all the ingredients to give me twice as much food?

Kelly Clark says:

Annoying n distracting music imho. I can not listen to music. Read. And do at the same time…. I guess u would say I’m not a good multi tasker!

Did you cook the chickpeas on high or low heat for those 6 hours?

Is there any alternative to coconut milk

Lol you should put the spinach in and just close the lid for a minute instead of trying to mix it around like that

Chatss Makhijani says:

Thanks for recipe! Can I substitute coconut milk with just milk or water?

Kelon Garmon says:

I was so hesitant about the dried chickpeas lol. But I trusted you. 6 hours from now(12:31AM) until I add the Spinach, lol hopefully I don't oversleep.

Looks good. I'm surprised there was enough liquid to cook the dry chickpeas. Did you soak them first?
