Here is where you can get the purple spatula for the person who asked:

Vegan Gingerbread Men
3 very ripe bananas, peeled
2 c roasted Hannah yam or other white sweet potato, peeled
4 T Pumpkin pie spice
2 T ground ginger
1/2 c date paste (optional)
2 T black strap molasses (optional)
4 c rolled oats (3 c if omitting date paste and molasses)

Preheat oven to 375Β°. In a food processor fitted with the S blade, combine bananas, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie spice, ginger, date paste, and molasses. Process until very smooth. Remove from food processor and pour into large mixing bowl. Add the rolled oats and combine well. Form into the shape of gingerbread people and decorate with optional raisins and dried cranberries or whatever you prefer. Bake on a silicone baking sheet at 375Β° for 20 minutes. To avoid sticking, allow to cool completely before using a spatula to take the cookies off the silicone baking mat. Store in the refrigerator for laterβ€”if they last that long! Happy holidays to you and your family and friends! πŸŽ„ πŸŽ… πŸ”” πŸ˜‡ πŸ™
My name is Heather and I’m from Portland, Oregon. I am eating a plant-based, whole foods, unprocessed diet, with no sugar, oil, or salt, to take off weight and regain my life. I once weighed over 436 lbs and have released over 238 lbs eating this way and walking for exercise. I call my channel The Butterfly Effect because I believe that all the small choices you make, over time, add up and have a huge effect on your life. I wanted to show people like me who have 100, 150, 200 or more pounds to take off that it can be done and we can do it together. I am far from perfect and have struggled with compulsive eating and been overweight for all of my life, but there is hope for me and there is hope for you too. What can you do, today, to bring you closer to your goals tomorrow? Please consider giving my videos a thumbs up, commenting and subscribing. I would be incredibly grateful for your support on this journey!

Nice recipe! Do you think oat flour would work instead of whole oats? Just curious so it would look smoother. I will definitely give these a go when I have time.

Does that long spatula work well for cleaning out a VitaMix pitcher? Maybe even under the blades? I need one of those! Diana

Thanks for the reply Heather I do have a dehydrator, maybe I'll give that a go but I still think I need to let the weather cool a bit first : )

I had a little chuckle when you said about the lovely gingery/spicy smell; I'd just come in from my garden (I had given my hands a good scrub) and I was sitting at the computer with my elbow bent and hand on my cheek – believe me the aroma was not as wonderful as the one you were experiencing! Yum I bet it smells divine. I soo miss Christmas cooking (I'm English) but it's way too hot to put the oven on where I live now : ( 34 degrees C tomorrow then six days over 35…my poor, poor garden. Anyway, Merry Christmas dear Heather – you look lovely and I like your pinnie (apron : ) ). Here's to 20019…remember the millenium ??? and maybe some cooler weather : ) Angela X

If you put the blade back into the bowl and ran it, the centrifugal force would clean it, thereby making less waste.
